Travis Scott is busy! After working on a bunch of Air Jordans (like the AJ1 Low ‘Canary’) and dropping his own signature Jumpman model, the Houston rapper just unveiled the Travis Scott x Nike Shark-A-Don ‘Sail’—an all-new silhouette that’s actually a mash-up of two not-so-new sneakers.
First teased all the way back in September, the Shark-A-Don is set to be Scott’s second original sneaker after the Jumpman Jack made its big debut earlier this year. Unwrapped in a clean ‘Sail’ colorway, it features a leather-and-suede build with a mesh strap that wraps around the front of the shoe. An oversized pull tab hits the heel, while the classic Swoosh logo shoots across the lateral and medial sidewalls.
If you didn’t know already, the design of the uppers (sans the strap) has been swiped straight from the Nike Shark of the 1990s. That’s not all that’s been borrowed, though, as the Utopia artist also dove into the archives for the beefy midsole, taken from the Air Zoom Spiridon circa 1997. Shark + Spiridon = Shark-A-Don. Math!
The Shark-A-Don is finished off with the Grammy nominee’s Cactus Jack emoji on the heel. All of this comes packed in a special-edition shoebox created exclusively for this collab.
