Limited to just 100 pieces in its platinum, you’ll notice that the Torture has no seconds hand. That’s fitting because if you can both afford and get your hands on one, your schedule probably doesn’t have much on it other than Wear a Great Watch to a Gala Screening of The Apprentice.
Tom Brady’s Patek Philippe Grand Complication Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar 5104P-001
The insane horological appetites of Tom Brady continue to consume the world’s best watches. Case in point: This ref. 5104P-001, a Grand Complication with minute repeater and perpetual calendar functions. Produced in the late 2000s in a run of just 100 pieces, it’s the type of wildly complicated watch that Patek has long specialized in. Brady’s is housed in an oversized 43mm platinum case with a semi-skeletonized dial, an automatic movement, and the following functions: main timekeeping; minute repeater; perpetual calendar with leap year indication, retrograde date, and moon phase indicator. What will this guy possibly wear next week?!

Hailey Bieber’s Piaget Polo
You couldn’t get away from vintage Piaget these days if you wanted to—and, frankly, why would you? The brand made some of the coolest ultra-thin watches in the mid-20th century, often fitting them with semi-precious stone dials or setting them with diamonds. Hailey Bieber was spotted wearing a vintage yellow-gold Piaget Polo recently. The brand reissued a solid-gold version of this watch in January of this year but Bieber’s likely dates back to the 1980s. The Polo’s teensy case measures just 19mm and it’s powered by a quartz movement. But that’s not really the point. The point is the wildly cool case and dial with horizontal gadroons studded with diamonds. Bonus points are awarded for the incredible integrated gold bracelet, too.
2 Chainz’s Jacob & Co. Brilliant Flying Tourbillon
2 Chainz performed at the BET Awards in a nearly $2M diamond-studded piece from Jacob & Co, The Brilliant Flying Tourbillon, which launched in 2017, is technically part of the brand’s ladies’ collection, but don’t tell that to the fellas. (Indeed, at 47mm, this doesn’t look at all out of place on 2 Chainz’s wrist) Made of white gold and studded with hundreds upon hundreds of precious stones, it’s outfitted with a flying tourbillon movement that is itself embedded with 338 brilliant-cut diamonds, which are visible via a sapphire caseback.
Nicholas Hoult’s Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Moon
English actor Nicholas Hoult, a global ambassador for Jaeger-LeCoultre, knows his way around a fine dress watch. This week he attended SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations for his recent film The Order and wore JLC’s Master Ultra Thin Moon. One of the prettiest modern moon phase watches from any luxury brand, this 39mm stainless steel piece features a petroleum-blue dial with applied indices, faceted feuille hands, and a large moon phase/date display above 6 o’clock. Powered by an automatic movement with a gold winding rotor, the entire thing is just 9.3mm thick, meaning there should be plenty of clearance to sneak it under a dress cuff. Although if you’re Hoult, you probably don’t want this watch sneaking anywhere.
