Last night, the 77th Annual Tony Awards took place and brought out the stars in their droves. Attendees from the world of entertainment descended upon the David H. Koch Theater in New York City to recognize and celebrate the achievement of Broadway productions during the 2023–24 season. The biggest night in Broadway brought out stars like Angelina Jolie, Jessica Lange, Alicia Keys, Elle Fanning, Taraji P. Henson, Ashley Park and many more. Taking home the 2024 Tony Award for ‘Best Leading Actress in a Play’ was Sarah Paulson for her performance in Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’s Appropriate. Maleah Joi Moon was awarded ‘Best Actress in a Musical’ for Hell’s Kitchen while ‘Best Featured Actress in a Play’ went to Kara Young for Purlie Victorious.
