Balenciaga continue to roll out advertising campaigns thick and fast. In such a short space of time, we’ve encountered a total of three. In early April, the Kering-owned fashion house unveiled its Le City handbag campaign starring Kate Moss, Yang Chaoyue, Mona Tougaard and Juyeon. Balenciaga creative director Demna called upon Nicole Kidman, Amelia Gray and Yang Chaoyue (again) for the Rodeo handbag campaign a mere month later and Kidman is back with the unveiling of the brand’s latest campaign installment. Shining a spotlight upon the Balenciaga Crush handbag, the Australian-American actress who signed on the dotted line with Balenciaga as brand ambassador back in December 2023 is joined by Adut Akech. The pair pose for photographer Mario Sorrenti for the occasion, shot up against a stark white studio backdrop.

“Beautiful and conventional shots,” admired Lola701.
“Simplicity always works. “Don’t get why this industry sometimes forget that. Of course this is good simplicity, not the horrible rural-natural trend of this decade. Adut Akech delivers cover material right there,” Deleted Member stated.
WAVES echoed the same sentiments, adding: “Both photographs are great but Adut is giving it her all! So good!”
Not everyone, however, was so smitten with the campaign. “The visuals are so boring…” shared 90sFan.
“They are,” replied vogue28 in agreement. “I’ve always favored accessories campaigns, more so than the mainline campaigns highlighting the clothes, but this is very… flat. I like simplicity, I’m liking the cast here but I need… more!”
